Rather than design my portfolio and Thinking House as one-off websites, I built two related publishing systems first. Make Placid was designed for visual, project-based work; Write Placid for writing and editorial publishing.
They share the same content-first approach to typography, hierarchy, navigation, and restraint, but each is tuned to a different kind of material. Together they form a reusable foundation rather than a single visual template.
I then used those foundations to build two distinct public-facing sites: Make Placid became the basis for this portfolio; Write Placid became the basis for Thinking House. The underlying logic is shared, while each site has its own identity and purpose.
